The World Economic Forum’s online Davos Agenda Summit began on Sunday night.

With the premier of ‘See Me: A Global Concert’, filmed during the coronavirus pandemic in different parts of the world, the World Economic Forum (WEF)’s Davos Agenda Summit kicked off, moving from the Swiss Alps to cyberspace. The six-day event will be held online from January 24 to 29.

The event will see more than 1,000 global leaders, including heads of state and government, CEOs and chairs of big companies. French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping are just some of the world leaders that promised to be present to address collaboration on issues such as COVID-19 vaccination, job creation and climate change is expected to dominate the summit this time. Business leaders such as Bill Gates, Brian T Moynihan of Bank of America, Al Gore, Ishaan Tharoor, Punit Renjen of Deloitte, KT Rama Rao and Masayoshi Son of Softbank, and Angel Gurria of OECD would be among the other prominent speakers. India business leaders like Anand Mahindra, Salil Parekh and Shobana Kamineni, would also be present.

According to Money Control, the seven key themes are: How to Save the Planet, Fairer Economies, Tech for Good, Society and Future of Work, Better Business, Healthy Futures and Beyond Geopolitics.
