{"id":14470,"date":"2017-08-16T16:50:58","date_gmt":"2017-08-16T16:50:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ceo-na.com\/?p=14470"},"modified":"2017-09-26T15:56:07","modified_gmt":"2017-09-26T15:56:07","slug":"trump-disbans-manufacturing-council-ceos-exodus","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/servidor-mxigen1.com\/ceona-antiguo\/business\/management-leadership\/trump-disbans-manufacturing-council-ceos-exodus\/","title":{"rendered":"Trump disbans manufacturing council after CEOs exodus"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em><strong>President Donald Trump disbanded\u00a0two business advisory groups after CEO withdrawals.<\/strong><\/em><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Trump\u2019s weak response to the Charlottesville white nationalism march has CEOs abandoning his side.<\/p>\n<p>After Ken Frazier, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Merck\/status\/897065338566791169\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Merck CEO<\/a> resigned from the Manufacturing Council,\u00a0Brian Krzanich, from Intel, and\u00a0Kevin Plank, form Under Armour, followed in his steps.<\/p>\n<p>On Wednesday,<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CampbellSoupCo\/status\/897864489084665861\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">\u00a0Denise Morrison<\/a> from Campbells Soup Co. and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/3M\/status\/897856267120648194\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Inge Thulin<\/a>, CEO of 3M, did so as well and left behind the work in Trump\u00b4s administration.<\/p>\n<p>Failing to\u00a0denounce the white nationalists that provoked\u00a0clashes in Virginia on the weekend drove the CEOs to take the decision to abandon the Presidents manufacturing council.<\/p>\n<h6>Trump\u00b4s response:<\/h6>\n<p>Donald Trump tweeted that he is disbanding two business advisory group after several CEOs withdrew from their position.<\/p>\n<div class=\"video-shortcode\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Rather than putting pressure on the businesspeople of the Manufacturing Council &amp; Strategy &amp; Policy Forum, I am ending both.
