Robots are upending everything we thought we knew about what it means to be human.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

The future of automated management<\/a> is quickly becoming a reality.<\/p>\n

Large companies that employ hundreds in middle management are turning to automated alternatives, which could manage projects and deadlines with less overhead and increased productivity.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s not just tech companies like Amazon<\/a>\u2014 even hedge funds like Bridgewater Associates<\/a> \u2013as reported by The Wall Street Journal\u2013 are working toward this goal.<\/p>\n

And without your boss being a real person, suddenly nobody knows\u2013or cares\u2013 if you\u2019re working from home.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere would be whole families working from home. I think it\u2019s really where the future lies, the electronic house\u201d, says Nikolai Berchev, a \u201ctester of software\u201d who works from Bulgaria and does not complain on \u201creporting\u201d to a boss that is really an algorithm.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is the future of all the jobs,\u201d he told to Quartz<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Not perfect, but human<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Before this was a trend, in some countries it happened the other way around.<\/p>\n

Grant Thornton<\/a>, an audit, tax, transfer pricing, outsourcing and consulting firm with a presence in 130 countries, drew up a study based on experience on a wide range of human capital problems around the world.<\/p>\n

It revealed that major barriers and concerns of companies when entering new markets are costs, including personnel.<\/p>\n

According to the same research of 2,000 business leaders, 75.7% prefer to seek new talent mainly in their country of origin.<\/p>\n

This is a growing trend as companies seek to manage international mobility costs, associate return on investment with the financial cost of traditional allocation programs, and seek other strategies to achieve success when entering a new market.<\/p>\n

Home at the office<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Trendy offices, like tech firms, devote around 14 square meters to each employee, around a quarter less than other industries, according to Randy Howder at Gensler<\/a>, a design firm.<\/p>\n

New offices tend to look more like comfy home spaces than cold desk offices.<\/p>\n

In there spaces there are TVs, couches and bookshelves, framed photos of a few employees.<\/p>\n

Young workers are thought to be more productive in these varied environments, which are reminiscent of the way people study and live at university.<\/p>\n
