{"id":14693,"date":"2017-09-17T08:00:43","date_gmt":"2017-09-17T08:00:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ceo-na.com\/?p=14693"},"modified":"2017-11-01T19:12:55","modified_gmt":"2017-11-01T19:12:55","slug":"harvey-irmas-double-whammy-cost-billion","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/servidor-mxigen1.com\/ceona-antiguo\/opinion\/harvey-irmas-double-whammy-cost-billion\/","title":{"rendered":"Harvey and Irma\u2019s double whammy could cost billion"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><em>The balance <\/em><\/strong><strong><em>left by the hurricanes are much deeper than damage infrastructure, it includes <\/em><\/strong><strong><em>the economies.<\/em><\/strong><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>After the waters recede, hurricanes Harvey and Irma could leave a more lasting trail of devastation in Texas and Florida than merely the cost of repairs, as the damage to infrastructure and lost business could cost billions of dollars to recover.<\/p>\n<p>Texas, one of the US\u2019 powerhouse economic states, accounts for about <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2017\/09\/15\/texas-and-florida-face-economic-blow-from-hurricanes-harvey-and-irma.html\">8% of the country\u2019s economic output<\/a>, was severely hit in August by Harvey, the first major hurricane to make landfall on the country since Wilma in 2005.
