The unemployment rate fell at its lowest since February\u00a02008.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Gains among\u00a0employment rates were proven in the latest Labour Force Survey in Canada<\/a>\u00a0conducted by\u00a0Statistics Canada<\/a>.<\/p>\n

According to the index, employment increased 80,000\u00a0in November, especially\u00a0among private sector employees.<\/p>\n

During November, employment rose in Ontario, British Columbia, Quebec and Prince Edward Island, while all the gains attributable to full-time work, however, part-time employment was down slightly.<\/p>\n

This “job boost” seen in the Northern country benefited groups especially among\u00a0women\u00a055\u00a0and older, youth aged\u00a015\u00a0to\u00a024, and for core-aged men (25\u00a0to\u00a054).<\/p>\n

Unemployment who?<\/strong><\/h6>\n

In the\u00a012\u00a0months to November, the survey showed, employment for older men was up\u00a081,000, while\u00a0employment for women aged\u00a055\u00a0and older rose by\u00a032,000. Their unemployment rate fell by\u00a00.5\u00a0percentage points to\u00a04.6%.<\/p>\n

With the boost, Ontario becomes the state leading employment growth, as 44,000 people found jobs especially\u00a0in wholesale, retail trade and manufacturing.<\/p>\n

In Ontario,\u00a0unemployment rate fell by\u00a00.4\u00a0percentage points to\u00a05.5%, the lowest rate since July\u00a02000.<\/p>\n

The second largest growing state was\u00a0British Columbia, where\u00a018,000\u00a0more people were employed in November mostly in full-time work,<\/p>\n

Other services<\/strong><\/h6>\n

Among other information, employment among educational services\u00a0rose by\u00a021,000\u00a0in November but was little changed from\u00a012\u00a0months earlier.<\/p>\n

Employment in construction increased for the second consecutive month, up\u00a016,000\u00a0in November.<\/p>\n

People employed in agriculture decreased by\u00a05,800, offsetting an increase the previous month.<\/p>\n

As for numbers in the private sector employees increased by\u00a072,000\u00a0in November, while both public sector employment and the number of self-employed were little changed.<\/p>\n
