Ipsos Global Trends Survey, 18,180 adults across 23 countries, online, 12 Sep \u2013 11 Oct 2016.<\/p><\/div>\n

And it’s not just a matter of things moving so quickly that we can\u2019t keep track with, people are worried.<\/p>\n

According to the most recent Ipsos Mori Global Trends Report<\/a>, as many as 82% of the world’s population feels we \u201clive in an increasingly dangerous world\u201d. This feeling can be observed across many countries \u2013 and it is accelerating.<\/p>\n

Such sentiments are held even more widely than they were in the 2014 survey, even as actual violence remains in decline. On the face of it, as well, it\u2019s hard to feel too positive. Looking ahead to the coming year, just 28% feel optimistic about prospects for the world in general.<\/p>\n
