{"id":18670,"date":"2018-10-08T18:07:15","date_gmt":"2018-10-08T18:07:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ceo-na.com\/?p=18670"},"modified":"2018-10-31T21:25:33","modified_gmt":"2018-10-31T21:25:33","slug":"u-s-economists-win-nobel","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/servidor-mxigen1.com\/ceona-antiguo\/business\/management-leadership\/u-s-economists-win-nobel\/","title":{"rendered":"U.S. economists win Nobel"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em><strong>William Nordhaus and Paul Romer\u00a0won the 2018 Nobel Economics Prize on Monday.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Americans William Nordhaus and Paul Romer have won the 2018 Nobel Economics Prize, as their work was helping to answer basic questions over how to promote long-term, sustainable prosperity.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0joint award turned the spotlight on a rapidly shifting global debate over the impact of climate change, as\u00a0the United Nations panel on climate change said\u00a0society would have to radically alter the way it consumes energy, travels and builds to avoid the worst effects of global warming hours before the award.<\/p>\n<p>Nordhaus,\u00a0a professor of economics at Yale University, was the first person to create a quantitative model that described the interplay between the economy and the climate, the Swedish academy said.<\/p>\n<p>As for Paul Romer,\u00a0is best known for his work on endogenous growth, a theory rooted in investing in knowledge and human capital.
