Here&#8217;s what to expect.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>On Tuesday, October 30th, Apple will host its fourth major media event of this year.<\/p>\n<p>After the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.apple.com\/apple-events\/september-2018\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">September launch<\/a>, where the new iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone XR, and\u00a0<em>Apple<\/em>\u00a0Watch Series 4 were presented and not all seemed surprised, it&#8217;s time for Apple to do better, and it seems it can.<\/p>\n<p>Accesible costs and better\u00a0features are promised, let&#8217;s see what the tech giant can do.<\/p>\n<h3>New iPads aiming to replace computers<\/h3>\n<p>It&#8217;s no secret that Apple has been trying to transcend traditional computing ways with the iPad, and October&#8217;s launch could be a definitive push towards that.<\/p>\n<p>According to a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2018-08-27\/apple-to-embrace-iphone-x-design-with-new-colors-bigger-screens\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">report from Bloomberg<\/a>, this year Apple may ship an iPad Pro with an 11-inch display in addition to the 12.9-inch iPad. iPad Pros would ship with FaceID in lieu of a home button, and have the same gesture-based UI that the iPhone XS has.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/9to5mac.com\/2018\/10\/10\/2018-ipad-pro-details-face-id-display\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Other\u00a0reports<\/a> suggest that Apple could include\u00a0a USB-C port on the new iPad Pros.<\/p>\n<h3>MacBooks on the way<\/h3>\n<p>People loved the MacBook Air. Apple knows this and could give it another shot.<\/p>\n<p>Recent reports from\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.macrumors.com\/2018\/09\/10\/kuo-september-2018-predictions\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">well-known Apple analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo<\/a>, suggest that a new <em>MacBook Air-ish<\/em> could include a fingerprint sensor for authentication, something that\u2019s been present on high-end Windows machines for years now. It won\u2019t have a TouchBar, which will set it apart from the 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Pros that come with this option.<\/p>\n<p>Perhaps the most exciting of the rumors is that this new MacBook Air-ish might have a Retina display.<\/p>\n<h3>Mac Mini back?<\/h3>\n<p>An upgrade could be in store for the Mac Mini.<\/p>\n<p>A\u00a0report from\u00a0<em>Bloomberg<\/em>\u00a0in August suggested that this little desktop PC (which ships without a display) will be refreshed this year, and that it will be aimed more at pros.<\/p>\n<p>If you want to follow the live event you can\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.apple.com\/apple-events\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">watch it on Apple&#8217;s website<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Apple is having another hardware launch event.
