{"id":19855,"date":"2019-01-21T11:30:55","date_gmt":"2019-01-21T11:30:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ceo-na.com\/?p=19855"},"modified":"2019-01-21T17:31:22","modified_gmt":"2019-01-21T17:31:22","slug":"wework-plans-on-growing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/servidor-mxigen1.com\/ceona-antiguo\/news\/wework-plans-on-growing\/","title":{"rendered":"<WeWork plans on growing>"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"post__title\">WeWork is rebranding and expanding its business beyond commercial office workspaces.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The startup operating coworking spaces in more than 25 countries, is evolving into\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.we.co\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The We Company<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The announcement comes after news that SoftBank, the company&#8217;s biggest investor,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.businessinsider.com\/softbank-reportedly-slashes-size-planned-16-billion-wework-investment-2019-1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reneged on plans<\/a>\u00a0to invest an additional $16 billion and would instead invest just $2 billion in 2019.<\/p>\n<p>Under the new We Company brand, the startup will consist of three business units. According to Business Insider,\u00a0the new model includes the spin-offs\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.welive.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">WeLive<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.wegrow.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">WeGrow<\/a>. WeLive runs community-oriented\u00a0co-living &#8220;hacker houses&#8221;\u00a0in New York and Arlington.<\/p>\n<p>WeGrow, on the other hand, is more education-focused. It opened its first elementary school last fall with a focus on entrepreneurship that operates out of a WeWork space in New York City.<\/p>\n<h1>Beyond desk space, diving into education and lifestyle<\/h1>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fastcompany.com\/90289512\/exclusive-wework-to-rebrand-to-the-we-company-in-wake-of-disappointing-funding-news\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fast Company&#8217;s report of the company rebranding<\/a> comes a day after reports surfaced that WeWork would not receive\u00a0an expected $16 billion investment.
