So it\u2019s concerning that public support for immigration has started to slip.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">A new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ipsos.com\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ipsos Global Public Affairs<\/a> poll shows that while Canadians back immigration more broadly, they have significant concerns about how it is being managed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The poll reveals 44% of people say that there are now\u00a0too many immigrants coming to Canada and a majority of respondents believe the country is too welcoming to new arrivals.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">It found 40% of Canadians think that \u201cimmigrants in Canada have made it more difficult for Canadian people to get jobs.\u201d That compares to 30% who disagree and 30% who neither agree nor disagree.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Where is this tougher position coming from? What drives this perspective?
