{"id":19931,"date":"2019-01-15T17:43:18","date_gmt":"2019-01-15T17:43:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ceo-na.com\/?p=19931"},"modified":"2019-01-15T18:35:52","modified_gmt":"2019-01-15T18:35:52","slug":"ivanka-trump","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/servidor-mxigen1.com\/ceona-antiguo\/news\/ivanka-trump\/","title":{"rendered":"<Ivanka Trump>"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ArticleHeader_headline\">Ivanka Trump will help manage the U.S. candidate for President of the World Bank.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Ivanka Trump will help manage the Trump administration\u2019s selection of a U.S. candidate for the position of World Bank Group president, a White House official said on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin and White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney \u201chave asked Ivanka Trump to help manage the U.S. nomination process as she\u2019s worked closely with the World Bank\u2019s leadership for the past two years,\u201d the official said.<\/p>\n<p>Ivanka Trump has worked with the World Bank and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ceo-na.com\/news\/world-bank\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">departing President Jim Yong Kim<\/a> over the past two years, jointly launching a $1.6 billion women\u2019s entrepreneurship fund with 13 other donor countries to raise capital for female entrepreneurs in developing countries.<\/p>\n<p>The United States, which has a controlling voting interest in the World Bank, has traditionally chosen the institution\u2019s leader since it began operations in 1946.<\/p>\n<p>Kim announced his surprise Feb. 1 departure last week to join private equity fund Global Infrastructure Partners, more than three years before his term ends in 2022, amid differences with the Trump administration over climate change and the need for more development resources.<\/p>\n<p>The World Bank has said its executive board will begin accepting nominations starting on Feb. 7.
