{"id":20023,"date":"2019-02-28T15:30:42","date_gmt":"2019-02-28T15:30:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ceo-na.com\/?p=20023"},"modified":"2019-07-30T20:58:16","modified_gmt":"2019-07-30T20:58:16","slug":"biggest-threats-to-business-growth-in-2019","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/servidor-mxigen1.com\/ceona-antiguo\/business\/management-leadership\/biggest-threats-to-business-growth-in-2019\/","title":{"rendered":"Inside the mind of the CEO"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>PwC&#8217;s\u00a0CEO Survey shares insights from 1,300+ CEOs around the world, revealing what worries them for the year ahead.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Following a surge in CEO optimism about the economic look last year, their current outlook paints a different story.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ceo-na.com\/primezone\/ceos-prospects-for-growth-spells-caution\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pessimism has overshadowed\u00a0optimism<\/a> regarding global growth prospects in the latest\u00a0PwC Annual Global CEO Survey.<\/p>\n<p>The index has found that nearly 30% of CEOs project a decline in global economic growth in 2019, up from a mere 5% last year, spelling caution regarding their vision on global growth.<\/p>\n<h2>[ihc-hide-content ihc_mb_type=&#8221;show&#8221; ihc_mb_who=&#8221;3,4,5,6&#8243; ihc_mb_template=&#8221;3&#8243; ]<\/h2>\n<h2>Which are the majors threats they see?<\/h2>\n<p>Over-regulation is the top worry for CEOs around the world in 2019.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pwc.com\/gx\/en\/ceo-survey\/2019\/report\/pwc-22nd-annual-global-ceo-survey.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">PwC&#8217;s 22nd Annual Global CEO Survey<\/a> revealed 35% of\u00a0world business leaders are &#8216;extremely concerned&#8217; about the growth of over-regulation (35%) and policy uncertainty (35%).<\/p>\n<p>Availability of key skills (34%), trade conflicts (31%), cyber threats (30%), geopolitical uncertainty (30%), protectionism (30%), populism (28%), speed of technological change (28%), and exchange rate volatility (26%) complete the top ten\u00a0threats to business growth that global CEOs are &#8216;extremely concerned&#8217; about in 2019.<\/p>\n<p>In North America, 38% of CEO respondents said they were extremely concerned about\u00a0protectionism in particular, making it the third most common response in the region behind trade conflicts (44%) and cyber threats (45%).<\/p>\n<p>Click to see what were the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ceo-na.com\/business\/management-leadership\/worries-ceos-2018\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">worries CEOs had in 2018<\/a>.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Question:<em><strong>\u00a0How concerned are you, if at all, about each of these potential economic, policy, social, environmental, and business threats to your organisation\u2019s growth prospects?
