{"id":20416,"date":"2019-10-16T13:45:01","date_gmt":"2019-10-16T13:45:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ceo-na.com\/?p=20416"},"modified":"2019-10-16T22:35:44","modified_gmt":"2019-10-16T22:35:44","slug":"gen-z-vs-millennial-brand-perception","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/servidor-mxigen1.com\/ceona-antiguo\/business\/innovation-business\/gen-z-vs-millennial-brand-perception\/","title":{"rendered":"Gen Z vs Millennial brand perception"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A new study from Atlantic finds that Gen Z and\u00a0Millennials\u00a0perceive brands in dramatically different ways.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ceo-na.com\/business\/entrepreneur\/move-millennials-gen-z\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Gen Z,\u00a0America\u2019s first generation of true \u2018digital-natives\u2019<\/a>, and\u00a0Millennials are\u00a0perceiving brands and\u00a0media\u00a0outlets in dramatically different ways.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.alistdaily.com\/lifestyle\/gen-z-report\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">According to A List Daily and a new study<\/a> into\u00a0Gen Z from <a href=\"https:\/\/advertising.theatlantic.com\/rethink\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Atlantic Re:think, the Atlantic\u2019s creative marketing group<\/a>, 60 brands adored by Millennials only two received a solid \u201clike\u201d from Gen Z:\u00a0YouTube\u00a0and Apple.<\/p>\n<p>Despite\u00a0the creative marketing group studied young adults within the 18-24 age range, many interesting findings popped out.<\/p>\n<h2>[ihc-hide-content ihc_mb_type=&#8221;show&#8221; ihc_mb_who=&#8221;3,4,5,6&#8243; ihc_mb_template=&#8221;3&#8243; ]<\/h2>\n<h2>Key findings:<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Video was reported by Gen Z as <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ceo-na.com\/business\/industry\/new-life-video\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the most preferred platform<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>The sources through which Gen Z is getting their brand awareness also differs from Millennials. About 55% said they use products recommended by a friend; 48% were influenced by social media ads; 40% said ads on their favorite media encouraged purchase;\u00a036% used products advocated by an\u00a0influencer\u00a0and finally only 24% emulated celebrities in their\u00a0shopping choices.<\/li>\n<li>Brand\u2019s physical stores encouraged 41% of Gen Z participants, while only 10% were influenced by a brand\u2019s e-commerce\u00a0site, which shows that real-life experiences still matter to Gen Z.<\/li>\n<li>Marketers can benefit from helping Gen Z to better understand the world around them, as only 34% of the the survey participants claimed they were \u201cexceptionally aware\u201d of current events, world affairs and politics, compared to 84% who are only \u201ccurious\u201d about those.<\/li>\n<li>Gen Zs appear to be more empathetic and concerned with inclusion and diversity.
