{"id":20748,"date":"2019-05-16T17:00:15","date_gmt":"2019-05-16T17:00:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ceo-na.com\/?p=20748"},"modified":"2019-07-30T17:34:01","modified_gmt":"2019-07-30T17:34:01","slug":"the-multicultural-consumer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/servidor-mxigen1.com\/ceona-antiguo\/business\/innovation-business\/the-multicultural-consumer\/","title":{"rendered":"The multicultural consumer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Nielsen&#8217;s 2018 Total Audience Report reveals\u00a0the most avid consumers of media.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<div class=\"page\" title=\"Page 8\">\n<div class=\"section\">\n<div class=\"layoutArea\">\n<div class=\"column\">\n<p>The increased racial and ethnic diversity across the U.S. is more prevalent than ever, and media usage and consumption is just one of the ways these differences and similarities are showcased.<\/p>\n<p>Both media habits and consumer trends have continuously shifted, and some patterns emerge by race and ethnicity just as they do by age in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nielsen.com\/us\/en\/insights\/reports\/2018\/q2-2018-total-audience-report.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nielsen&#8217;s most recent Total Audience Report<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>While U.S. adults spend 10 hours 24 minutes per day engaging with media across all platforms,\u00a0findings report Black adults to be <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ceo-na.com\/primezone\/radio-whats-new\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the most avid consumers of media<\/a>, spending 12 hours and 46 minutes on it per day, which is 23% more time than the average adult consumer in the United States.<\/p>\n<p>[ihc-hide-content ihc_mb_type=&#8221;show&#8221; ihc_mb_who=&#8221;3,4,5,6&#8243; ihc_mb_template=&#8221;3&#8243; ]<\/p>\n<p>Black Americans spend over 3 and a half hours longer per day than Hispanic adults on media and more time on live TV, TV-connected devices, and smartphones, making them the largest consumers of video, collecting a total of 7 hours 31 minutes per day of video usage.<\/p>\n<div class=\"page\" title=\"Page 9\">\n<div class=\"section\">\n<div class=\"layoutArea\">\n<div class=\"column\">\n<p>Hispanics and Asian Americans also over-index on digital video as a whole.
