{"id":20773,"date":"2019-09-16T06:00:58","date_gmt":"2019-09-16T06:00:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ceo-na.com\/?p=20773"},"modified":"2019-09-13T17:02:51","modified_gmt":"2019-09-13T17:02:51","slug":"top-distractions-at-work","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/servidor-mxigen1.com\/ceona-antiguo\/ceo-life\/health\/top-distractions-at-work\/","title":{"rendered":"Top distractions at work"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The top workplace distractions involve not just where you work, but who you work with.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Virtually everything about the way we work is changing;\u00a0physical settings have undergone a transformation too.<\/p>\n<p>So it&#8217;s also normal to see that the way we get distracted while working has also shifted, and this is why\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.udemy.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Udemy<\/a> set out to measure how distracted employees are during work hours, and how they\u2019re responding to these distractions.<\/p>\n<p>The poll by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/research.udemy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/FINAL-Udemy_2018_Workplace_Distraction_Report.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Udemy and Toluna<\/a>\u00a0reports that 80% of people report being distracted by chatty coworkers, the number one office place distraction.<\/p>\n<p>Office noise is the second most cited workplace disturbance, with seven out of ten respondents citing noise as a top bother in their day-to-day workflow.<\/p>\n<p>The aforementioned changes in the workplace, with 61%, is third in the ranking. Meetings (60%) and social media (56%) complete the spots of job distractors with position four and five.<\/p>\n<p>Prime time for distraction hits at midday, with 46% answering that noon to 3pm is their most distracted period.<\/p>\n<h2>Meetings and social media<\/h2>\n<p>60% of our survey respondents said meetings are just another distraction from the work they need to complete, as they frequently fall victim to interruptions and distractions.
