{"id":20907,"date":"2019-06-26T13:11:18","date_gmt":"2019-06-26T13:11:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ceo-na.com\/?p=20907"},"modified":"2019-06-26T18:16:30","modified_gmt":"2019-06-26T18:16:30","slug":"cookie-industry-kellogg","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/servidor-mxigen1.com\/ceona-antiguo\/news\/cookie-industry-kellogg\/","title":{"rendered":"<Cookie industry Kellogg>"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Kellogg sells Keebler and Famous Amos to get out of the cookie business.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Italian baked goods company and Nutella producer\u00a0Ferrero Group will buy Kellogg&#8217;s Keebler cookies, Famous Amos, Mother&#8217;s, Murray&#8217;s, Girl Scout cookies and fruit snacks brands for $1.3 billion.<\/p>\n<p>Kellogg said it aims to focus on its businesses that may have more potential for growth. It had been trying to\u00a0sell off those brands since November, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2018\/11\/12\/investing\/kellogg-cookie-sale\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">according to CNN,<\/a>\u00a0saying\u00a0that the brands weren&#8217;t a good fit with the rest of the company&#8217;s offerings, announcing its plans to reorganize its North America team, invest in e-commerce to drive growth, and find new ways to compete in the crowded cookie market.<\/p>\n<p>For Ferrero, the acquisition is a way to expand its North American business.
