{"id":21189,"date":"2019-10-14T11:35:14","date_gmt":"2019-10-14T11:35:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ceo-na.com\/?p=21189"},"modified":"2019-10-15T17:10:26","modified_gmt":"2019-10-15T17:10:26","slug":"the-evolving-status-of-stem","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/servidor-mxigen1.com\/ceona-antiguo\/business\/entrepreneur\/the-evolving-status-of-stem\/","title":{"rendered":"The evolving status of STEM"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>More and more, the\u00a0jobs\u00a0with better pay and\u00a0job\u00a0security are in\u00a0STEM fields.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>STEM stands for science, technology, engineering and mathematics.<\/p>\n<p>The jobs related to these professions are vital for everything from manufacturing to food processing and healthcare, so\u00a0they are most likely to be the country&#8217;s best-paying and secure jobs, but how much are they thriving in the country?<\/p>\n<p>Website 24\/7 Wall Street recently carried out\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/247wallst.com\/special-report\/2019\/03\/04\/15-cities-with-the-most-high-tech-jobs-3-dgj\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">an analysis<\/a>\u00a0of Bureau of Labor Statistics data to find out the cities with the highest rates of STEM employment, finding that\u00a0California-Lexington Park in Maryland is the city with the highest share of hi-tech jobs in the country with 24.8% of its entire workforce falling into the category of STEM.<\/p>\n<p>[ihc-hide-content ihc_mb_type=&#8221;show&#8221; ihc_mb_who=&#8221;3,4,5,6&#8243; ihc_mb_template=&#8221;3&#8243; ]<\/p>\n<p>Unsurprisingly, the San Jose area in California (including Silicon Valley) is high up on the list, ranking second, as 20% of workers in the San Jose-Sunnyvale-Santa Clara metro region are employed in STEM occupations.
