Gallup’s Global Emotions Report reveals the status of positivity and negativity worldwide.<\/span><\/p>\n

People around the world are becoming more angry, stressed, and worried.<\/span><\/p>\n

A third of people around the world say they suffer from stress, while at least one in five experience sadness or anger on a regular basis, according to a Gallup survey which interviewed 150,000 people in over 140 countries. <\/span><\/p>\n

The annual <\/span>Gallup Global Emotions Report<\/span><\/a> asked people about their positive and negative experiences.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to the study, the most negative country in the world was Chad while the most positive was Paraguay.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ranking worldwide<\/h1>\n

The U.S. ranked as the 39th most positive country, the UK 46th, and India 93rd in the report. <\/span><\/p>\n

Respondents were asked questions such as “did you smile or laugh a lot yesterday?” and “were you treated with respect?” in a bid to gain an insight into people’s daily experiences. <\/span><\/p>\n

Around 71% of people said they experienced a \u201cconsiderable\u201d amount of enjoyment the day before they answered the survey.<\/span><\/p>\n

Yet the poll also found that levels of stress were at a new high, while levels of worry and sadness had also increased. Some 39% of those polled said they had been worried the day before the survey, while 35% were stressed.<\/span><\/p>\n

Latin American countries, including Paraguay and Mexico, topped the list of positive experiences, where people reported “feeling a lot of positive emotions each day.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Chad had the highest score for negative experiences. More than seven in 10 Chadians said they had struggled to afford food at some point in the past year.<\/span><\/p>\n

Nevertheless, according to the results of the survey, people in the U.S. and Greece were more stressed than Chadians.<\/span><\/p>\n

Greece had the most stressed population in the world with 59% of adults saying they experienced stress the day before they responded to the poll in comparison to 55% in the U.S.<\/span><\/p>\n
