{"id":22807,"date":"2019-08-20T09:00:51","date_gmt":"2019-08-20T09:00:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ceo-na.com\/?p=22807"},"modified":"2019-08-20T22:20:16","modified_gmt":"2019-08-20T22:20:16","slug":"disney-to-launch-in-november-on-almost-every-major-platform","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/servidor-mxigen1.com\/ceona-antiguo\/opinion\/disney-to-launch-in-november-on-almost-every-major-platform\/","title":{"rendered":"Disney+ to launch in November on almost every major platform"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><i>Disney\u2019s VOD service aims to compete with Netflix in original content.<\/i><\/strong><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Disney has announced that its much anticipated Disney+ subscription video-on-demand service will launch on almost every major streaming platform, beginning in the US, Canada, and the Netherlands on Nov. 12.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Users of Apple TV and iOS, GoogleChromecast, Android, Android TV, Sony PlayStation 4, Roku, and Microsoft\u2019s Xbox One will all be able to access the service via subscription or in-app purchases.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The key absentee among the listed platforms is Amazon\u2019s Fire TV, although Disney stated it expects to bring further distributors aboard ahead of the launch date.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Disney+ is the company\u2019s attempt to take on the likes of Netflix, Apple, and Amazon, producing original content through the Disney, Marvel, Star Wars, and Pixar brands. It will also feature rebooted content from well known Fox franchises such as Home Alone, Night at the Museum, and Cheaper by the Dozen.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the US, Disney+ will cost $6.99 per month or $69.99 per year.
