{"id":23060,"date":"2019-11-19T10:20:29","date_gmt":"2019-11-19T10:20:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ceo-na.com\/?p=23060"},"modified":"2019-11-19T16:27:45","modified_gmt":"2019-11-19T16:27:45","slug":"biggest-exporter-states-of-the-us","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/servidor-mxigen1.com\/ceona-antiguo\/business\/industry\/biggest-exporter-states-of-the-us\/","title":{"rendered":"Biggest exporter states of the US"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Data from the\u00a0U.S. Census Bureau USA Trade platform shows\u00a0Texas is by far the top state for global exports in the United States, California is second.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p class=\"app_header_headline__36XRj primaryBold primaryBold-60 md_primaryBold-80 mb-2\">The Lone Star State exports large amounts of\u00a0oil and petroleum products, as well as\u00a0computer parts, aircraft parts and integrated circuits, collecting a total of over US$315 billion dollars worth of exports.\u00a0According to\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.worldstopexports.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">World&#8217;s Top Exports,<\/a>\u00a0given the population of 28.702 million Texans as of July 2018, the total $315.4 billion in 2018 Texan exports translates to roughly $11,000 for every resident in the Lone Star State.<\/p>\n<p class=\"app_header_headline__36XRj primaryBold primaryBold-60 md_primaryBold-80 mb-2\">Based on statistics from the US Department of Commerce\u2019s Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA), Texas\u2019 exported products represent 17.8% of the state\u2019s total economic output or real Gross Domestic Product for 2018. The latter real dollar values were expressed in 2009 chained dollars, according to the BEA.\u00a0The value of Texas\u2019 exports equals 19.6% of United States\u2019 overall exported products for 2018.<\/p>\n<h1><strong>Right behind y&#8217;all<\/strong><\/h1>\n<p>California comes in second place with\u00a0\u00a0$178.4 billion with large exports in\u00a0aircraft parts, integrated circuits, semi-conductor machinery, and diamonds. New York, Washington and Louisiana complete the\u00a0five leading export states of the U.S.<\/p>\n<p class=\"app_header_headline__36XRj primaryBold primaryBold-60 md_primaryBold-80 mb-2\">Washington exports rely on Boeing\u2019s output of airplanes and airplane parts for half of the state\u2019s exports, Louisiana&#8217;s strong suits are petroleum products, corn and soy.<\/p>\n<p>Below are <a href=\"http:\/\/www.worldstopexports.com\/americas-top-20-export-states\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the top 20 American states that exported the highest dollar value worth of products during 2018, according to\u00a0World&#8217;s Top Exports<\/a>. Combined, these export-leading states represent over four-fifths (81.8%) of the nation\u2019s total exports.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Texas: US$315.4 billion 19.6% of US total)<\/li>\n<li>California: $178.4 billion (11.1%)<\/li>\n<li>New York: $81.5 billion (5.1%)<\/li>\n<li>Washington: $77.7 billion (4.8%)<\/li>\n<li>Louisiana: $66.2 billion (4.1%)<\/li>\n<li>Illinois: $65.4 billion (4.1%)<\/li>\n<li>Michigan: $57.9 billion (3.6%)<\/li>\n<li>Florida: $57.2 billion (3.6%)<\/li>\n<li>Ohio: $54.3 billion (3.4%)<\/li>\n<li>Pennsylvania: $41 billion (2.6%)<\/li>\n<li>Georgia: $40.6 billion (2.5%)<\/li>\n<li>Indiana: $39.3 billion (2.4%)<\/li>\n<li>New Jersey: $35.7 billion (2.2%)<\/li>\n<li>South Carolina: $34.6 billion (2.2%)<\/li>\n<li>North Carolina: $32.7 billion (2%)<\/li>\n<li>Tennessee: $32.7 billion (2%)<\/li>\n<li>Kentucky: $31.8 billion (2%)<\/li>\n<li>Massachusetts: $27.1 billion (1.7%)<\/li>\n<li>Wisconsin: $22.7 billion (1.4%)<\/li>\n<li>Minnesota: $22.7 billion (1.4%)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h1>United States top 10 exports<\/h1>\n<p>The\u00a0United States\u00a0is the 3rd largest\u00a0export\u00a0economy in the world and the 7th most complex economy according to the Economic Complexity Index (ECI).\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.worldstopexports.com\/united-states-top-10-exports\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">World&#8217;s Top Exports\u00a0reports<\/a> that overall the United States of America shipped US$1.666 trillion worth of goods around the globe in 2018. That amount reflects a 7.7% uptick from 2017 to 2018 and a 2.9% gain since 2014.\u00a0Given America\u2019s population of 329.3 million people, its total $1.666 trillion in 2018 revenues from exported products translates to roughly $5,100 for every resident in the United States.<\/p>\n<p>The United States shipped $823.6 billion worth of goods during the first 6 months of 2019, down -0.8% compared the same period one year earlier.<\/p>\n<p>The following export product groups categorize the highest dollar value in American global shipments during 2018.
