{"id":23822,"date":"2020-01-15T12:40:10","date_gmt":"2020-01-15T12:40:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ceo-na.com\/?p=23822"},"modified":"2020-01-15T19:19:36","modified_gmt":"2020-01-15T19:19:36","slug":"less-expectations-for-economic-growth","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/servidor-mxigen1.com\/ceona-antiguo\/business\/industry\/less-expectations-for-economic-growth\/","title":{"rendered":"Less expectations for economic growth"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>World GDP growth fell and is expected to remain stuck for the next two years.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>World GDP growth fell to 2.9% this year \u2013 its lowest rate since the financial crisis \u2013 and is expected to remain stuck at 3% over the next two years, and while global trade continues dragging down economic activity in almost all major economies, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.oecd.org\/economic-outlook\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">OECD has slashed its global growth forecast down from its May 2019 estimate<\/a> of 3.2% and from 3.5% growth in 2018.<\/p>\n<p>This would be the lowest level of economic expansion since the end of the financial crisis, and possibly the trough of the current slowdown, although the OECD expects economic growth to remain subdued through 2020 and 2021.<\/p>\n<p>OECD Chief Economist Laurence Boost said:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u201cIt would be a mistake to consider these changes as temporary factors that can be addressed with monetary or fiscal policy: they are structural.
