With the November election just nine months away,\u00a0Donald Trump leaned hard on the strong U.S.\u00a0economy and a “pro-worker” agenda in his\u00a0third\u00a0State of the Union\u00a0Address, which was highlighted by a bitter feud<\/a> with top Democrat Nancy Pelosi and missguided information regarding industry evolution and accomplished objectives.<\/p>\n Despite being on stage for over 80 minutes —one of the longest State of the Unions in American history<\/a>— the President failed to talk about one of the most consequential events of his presidency: his impeachment trial in the Senate, but did not hesitate on mentioning\u00a0that the American economy had never been stronger. He\u00a0claimed credit<\/a>\u00a0for what he called a \u201cGreat American Comeback\u201d and revival of American spirit thanks to low unemployment and rising wages, <\/strong>but the economic situation is much more complicated than what the President mentioned.<\/p>\n \u201cIf we hadn\u2019t reversed the failed economic policies of the previous administration,\u201d Trump started out<\/strong>, \u201cthe world would not now be witnessing this great economic success.\u201d<\/p>\n “In just three short years, we have shattered the mentality of American decline, and we have rejected the downsizing of America’s destiny,” Trump also said.<\/strong> “We are moving forward at a pace that was unimaginable a short time ago, and we are never going back!”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
