{"id":25276,"date":"2020-03-15T07:20:51","date_gmt":"2020-03-15T07:20:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ceo-na.com\/?p=25276"},"modified":"2020-03-13T21:47:35","modified_gmt":"2020-03-13T21:47:35","slug":"jack-dorsey-twitter","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/servidor-mxigen1.com\/ceona-antiguo\/news\/jack-dorsey-twitter\/","title":{"rendered":"<Jack Dorsey Twitter>"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Jack Dorsey will remain Twitter\u2019s CEO as part of\u00a0a deal.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>New York-based activist investor firm Elliott Management Corp.\u00a0took a sizable stake in\u00a0Twitter Inc.,\u00a0and quickly <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2020-02-29\/singer-s-elliott-is-said-to-seek-to-replace-twitter-ceo-dorsey\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">announced plans<\/a> to push for changes at the social media company, which included replacing CEO Jack Dorsey, however, after two weeks of battle.<\/p>\n<p>But now, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/2020\/3\/9\/21171374\/twitter-ceo-elliott-management-deal-investor-firm-stock-buyback\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">per The Verg<\/a>e, it seems Jack Dorsey will remain Twitter\u2019s CEO as part of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.prnewswire.com\/news-releases\/twitter-inc-announces-partnership-with-silver-lake-and-elliott-management-301019725.html\">a deal<\/a>\u00a0the company reached with Elliott Management. The deal, reported by PR Newswire, adds that in connection with the investment and the\u00a0<span id=\"spanHghlt5673\">C<\/span>ooperation\u00a0<span id=\"spanHghlt1837\">A<\/span>greement, Egon Durban, co-CEO and managing partner of\u00a0<span class=\"xn-location\">Silver Lake<\/span>, and\u00a0<span class=\"xn-person\">Jesse Cohn<\/span>, partner at Elliott, will be appointed to the Twitter Board of Directors. Also, the deal sees Twitter committing to buy back $2 billion worth of stock. It\u2019s also naming two new board members: one from Elliott Management and one from Silver Lake, an investment firm that\u2019s putting $1 billion into Twitter to fund the buybacks.\u00a0The new board members will be part of a committee evaluating \u201cthe CEO succession plan.\u201d They\u2019ll be joined by three additional board members, all of whom currently serve on the board.
