{"id":25515,"date":"2020-03-24T17:11:20","date_gmt":"2020-03-24T17:11:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ceo-na.com\/?p=25515"},"modified":"2020-03-24T17:12:36","modified_gmt":"2020-03-24T17:12:36","slug":"us-banks","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/servidor-mxigen1.com\/ceona-antiguo\/uncategorized\/us-banks\/","title":{"rendered":"<US banks>"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Major US banks are beginning to alter their branch operations.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>In an effort to protect their employees and customers, major banks have turned towards an unprecedented measure: They have decided\u00a0to begin closing branches indefinitely.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.businessinsider.com\/us-banks-reassess-branch-strategy-amid-coronavirus-2020-3?IR=T&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_term=BII_Daily&amp;utm_source=Triggermail&amp;utm_campaign=BI%20Intelligence%20Daily&amp;utm_content=B\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Business Insider reports<\/a> that banks are opting\u00a0for two primary branch strategies to minimize risk, one is eliminating all in-person interactions by temporarily shuttering branches. The most prominent example of this strategy is JPMorgan Chase &amp; Co., that said it would close 20% of its nearly 5,000 branches starting March 24. The bank already had scaled back weekday hours at its branches. Capital One Financial Corp.\u00a0is also pursuing this tactic, opting to temporarily close 41 Capital One Caf\u00e9s and about a quarter of its 461 branches\u00a0\u2014about half in New York City\u2014 to \u201cminimize health risks from the coronavirus.\u201d\u00a0Other banks are closing their branch lobbies but maintaining availability by offering services only via their drive-thru windows.
