Given the painful reality of COVID-19, one of the greatest global challenges of our lifetimes, we believe this is the right thing to do,\u201d <strong>organizers\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/journal.burningman.org\/2020\/04\/news\/official-announcements\/brc-2020-update\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">announced<\/a>.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s1\">\u201cYes, we are heartbroken. We know you are too. In 2020 we need human connection and Immediacy more than ever. But public health and the well-being of our participants, staff, and neighbors in Nevada are our highest priorities.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Despite the announcement, Burning Man stated it will continue investing in key programs like\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.burnerswithoutborders.org\/\"><span class=\"s2\">Burners Without Borders<\/span><\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/flyranch.burningman.org\/\"><span class=\"s2\">Fly Ranch<\/span><\/a>, the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/regionals.burningman.org\/\"><span class=\"s2\">Regional Network<\/span><\/a>, and our\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/burningman.org\/culture\/philosophical-center\/\"><span class=\"s2\">Philosophical Center<\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/coronavirus-cancellations-music-fests-concerts-tours-964575\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Here is a list of all the cancelled<\/a> concerts as well as\u00a0major festivals and film releases.
