It is also reported that he is scouting other U.S. states for a site to build a new factory, hinting that Texas could be a candidate, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/article\/us-tesla-truck\/tesla-shares-surge-past-1000-as-musk-revs-up-the-semi-idUSKBN23H1PE?utm_source=morning_brew\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">according to Reuters reporting by Yilei Sun and\u00a0Brenda Goh<\/a>. Oklahoma and other states are campaigning for the investment.\u00a0\u201cProduction of the battery and powertrain will take place at Giga Nevada,\u201d Musk wrote.
