{"id":27371,"date":"2020-08-17T16:56:35","date_gmt":"2020-08-17T16:56:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ceo-na.com\/?p=27371"},"modified":"2020-08-17T17:12:52","modified_gmt":"2020-08-17T17:12:52","slug":"companies-support-fortnite","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/servidor-mxigen1.com\/ceona-antiguo\/news\/companies-support-fortnite\/","title":{"rendered":"<Companies support Fortnite>"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"article__subhead\">Spotify and Match Group support Epic Games amid feud with Apple and Google.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Spotify and Match Group\u00a0issued statements in support of Epic Games, developer of the 2017 video game &#8220;Fortnite&#8221;,\u00a0<a class=\"icon none\" href=\"https:\/\/www.marketwatch.com\/story\/in-a-true-battle-royale-apple-and-fortnite-maker-appear-headed-for-a-courtroom-2020-08-13?mod=article_inline\">which filed suit<\/a>\u00a0against Apple and Alphabet Inc.\u2019s Google last week alleging monopolistic practices after\u00a0the world\u2019s two dominant smartphone operating systems pulled &#8220;Fortnite&#8221; from their app stores for violating their rules on in-app payments after Epic tried offering discounts on in-game currency for players who bypassed Apple and Google with their purchases.<\/p>\n<p>Epic Games also accused Apple of being a &#8220;behemoth seeking to control markets, block competition and stifle innovation&#8221;<strong>,<\/strong>\u00a0apart from attempting to suppress competition through authoritative control of the market.
